Soul and Saddle
Student-led equine program supporting neurodiverse children in Shanghai
Horse riding is different because it is more than a sport. It’s bridging between species—the language of trust between horses and humans. The silent understanding, as we do not share a language, that was built through patience, persistence, and love. It is not a journey measured in medals or ribbons, nor how fast we ride, nor how far we ride, but in the smallest moments—the first time a child reaches out to touch a horse, the laughter that echoes the arena, the hungry horse eating a carrot after a ride…
Through the ups and downs, my journey with horses will continue. No one rides alone. Whether you are also a rider, a volunteer interested in helping out disabled children, a supporter of animal welfare, or someone who simply shares our belief in the healing power of horses, you belong here, and you are part of this story.
Whether you are:
· A parent seeking equine-assisted activities for your child → please reach out to discuss sessions!
· A volunteer interested in disability inclusion → we welcome committed helpers!
· A collaborator (educator, researcher, organization)
· A supporter who believes in this work
...
Thank you for being here!! I truly appreciate your time! Together, we're making equine-assisted activities more accessible. One child at a time.
As you leave these pages, I hope you carry with you a piece of what I’ve built here.
